2022 Honda Civic Review

This Honda sedan comes standard with a 4-cylinder engine that produces 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. An available turbocharged engine gives you increased power, coming in at 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come paired with a continuously variable transmission.

However, if you want to feel more in tune with your drive that comes with a manual vehicle, check out the available paddle shifters found on your steering wheel. You’ll be able to shift up and down at your discretion to drive as you want.

An available 3-Mode Drive System will also give you more customizability as you cruise. For example, there’s an ECON mode if you’re more conscious about saving fuel. You’ll also stay in tune with technology in the 2022 Civic. A standard 7-inch touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, so that you can use your phone to find directions and your music of choice.

You’ll also be able to download another app called HondaLink®. Compatible on all trim levels, this feature will allow you to access different information, like your owner’s manual. It can also help you schedule your next service appointment when it’s time.

Upgrade to the Touring trim level and you’ll be able to access more features, like the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™. This feature allows you to check your fuel level before a trip and send a location directly to your navigation system so that it knows how to plan the route. You’ll be able to find your way around diverse locations that may not have the strongest signal, thanks to this satellite connection.

High-quality technology could only mean that the safety systems will also be of high quality. The Civic delivers just that through standard Honda Sensing®.

You’ll find Collision Mitigation Braking System™, which is designed to detect an impending frontal collision. This system will use the brakes to stop your vehicle and mitigate the effects of a collision.

You’ll also find Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow. You’ll be able to decide the following distance you’d like to maintain between you and the car in front of you. Should that car start to slow, so too will your vehicle as it adapts to the new speed.

You will also appreciate the Lane Keeping Assist System, which can lightly steer you back into the correct lane if you drift over. Road Departure Mitigation System works similarly and also uses light steering if it detects possible road departures.
